Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems rather than research, leveraging LangChain and OpenAI/Anthropic APIs to automate workflows.

You will implement agentic processes, integrate with major AI APIs, and build internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development processes. This position is remote across Latin America and South Africa, with collaboration to a

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Machine Learning Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.
