GEO Group, Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse – Intake Coordinator to initiate and provide comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting, while upholding security requirements. You will collaborate with intake staff to ensure timely health services delivery and accurate record-keeping.

You will assist with screenings, report on intake processes, and support diagnostic services such as EKGs and imaging, ensuring care is documented in the health record and escalations are made as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current, unrestricted LPN license.
• Two years of direct work experience as an LPN preferred.
• Competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, clinical screening, nursing care, and psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse - Intake Coordinator works with intake staff to ensure timely patient processing.
• Assists with intake screenings and processing to provide timely care.
• Provides routine reporting on intake processes to Health Services leadership.
• Assists with clinical screenings and collection of medical history as patients enter the system.
• Supports with diagnostic services and continuity of care, including EKGs and imaging.
• Maintains accurate intake medical records in the electronic health record system.
