Diageo seeks a logistics professional in Bogotá to drive day-to-day operational execution across inbound/outbound, 3PL coordination and performance monitoring within a large, distributed supply network.

You will support sales with reports, protect service levels (OTIF/OTD), and lead cost controls and continuous improvement initiatives. A Bachelor’s in Business/Engineering and 5+ years’ experience are required, with Spanish fluency and SAP/Excel skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Post-graduate education in logistics and/ operations is a plus
• Fluent Spanish required.
• Medium level of English proficiency
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Highly organized attention to detail and hands on attitude
• Good planning and organization skills.
• Proactive, self-starter, works under pressure
• Analytical and data mining skills are required

Responsabilidades

• Planning, and preparation of reception, storage, rework, picking & shipping capacities in conjunction with the 3PL & Planning team to meet needs in a timely manner.
• Ensure the efficient and effective execution of logistics operations for reception, storage, rework, picking & shipping, by closely monitoring performance metrics (daily, weekly & monthly).
• Provide support to the sales area in the areas of sales reports, open orders, orders in transit or any other issue where the opinion of the logistics team is required.
• Protect the service (InFull, OTIFNE, OTD) through excellence in logistics execution, so that the needs of our internal & external clients are maintained and exceeded.
• Prepare market service indicators, specifically OTIF (On Time In Full)
• Control & Optimization of the Logistics Cost
• Leading productivity & process improvement projects.
• Guarantee compliance with internal controls, as well as the execution of the control routines required in the operation (Inventory Accuracy, Cut Off Control, Revenue Recognition Control)

About The Role

The incumbent of the role will have operational responsibilities related to the day to day Logistic Operations execution, including systems transactions, monitor and analyze performance, generate information / documentation required, supervise rework, inbound and outbound operations, shipments delivery coordination, keeping close communication with 3PL and carriers, among other ad hoc assigned activities.

Market Context

• Route to consumer drives distribution to over 2k points of sales directly and over 80k indirectly. Geographical and infrastructure conditions are challenging for transport operations
• COL has a varied Logistic footprint with different ways of working offering scope for improvement in consistency and codification. Sourcing is mainly from International Partners, with long lead times reducing agility.
• Import Flows represents about 84% of total Volume, mobilizing about 1.500 containers per year, from about 6 sources around the world.
• Need for increased agility and a more resilient supply chain is driving the need to have a stronger local sourcing footprint.
• Distribution Network includes 21 Diageo WHs + 32 Distributors WHs, that translates into a costly and complex logistics.
• Technology use is limited. Integration partially in place across key processes.
• High functional complexity due to multiple business models, logistics channels, and external partners.

Decision Making

• Prioritize Reworks and Outbound shipments scheduling and processing based on customer segmentation / priority making sure that all participants in the process (Customer Service, Carriers, 3PL, etc) execute following the defined priority
• Understand logistics constrains Inbound vs. Outbound in peak season, demurrage inbound loads at port to guarantee outbound capacity at 3PL; prioritize inbound and rework of products with short coverage
• Resources allocation and logistic planning priorities that optimize service level to customers, while keeping efficient cost management.

Financial Responsibility

• Distribution cost control and optimization
• Savings Target (>5% YoY Improvement)

Leadership Responsibility

This role has no direct reports. However, he/she will have to interact with different internal and external stakeholders and work as a team player to achieve the business/department outcomes.

Influencing big logistic operations and third- party colleagues will be critical for him/her to get results through others.
