Job Title Linux System Administrator

About Your Business Area: Amadeus Platform Foundation Services organization provides infrastructure and engineering support for the hosting and development of proprietary software used by the global travel industry.

In This Role You’ll

You’ll be part of the Database as a Service team, focusing on Linux system administration for operational excellence in high-availability environments. Your role will evolve to include database-specific operations and, potentially, automation support.

About the ideal candidate

We’re looking for an advanced Linux System Administrator with strong operational experience. You should be comfortable working independently and in a team, with a proactive mindset and solid troubleshooting skills.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Deep understanding of Linux OS in virtual and physical platforms
2. Experience with NFS, CIFS, and OS-level scripting (bash/shell)
3. Experience with Ansible (preferred) or other automation tools like Chef, Puppet, or Terraform
4. Proficient in Azure; familiarity with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
5. Experience in data center environments
6. Familiarity with ticketing systems and change control processes
7. Strong communication (written and verbal)
8. Ethical conduct and confidentiality awareness
9. Global on-call rotation participation
10. Team player with creative problem-solving skills
11. Storage concepts (Pure, NetApp C Mode)

Nice to Have

1. Exposure to Oracle ASM / ACFS (not mandatory)
2. Kubernetes operational experience
