The Nuclear Company is seeking a Manager of Licensing to lead planning, development, and execution of licensing activities for reactor projects. This role coordinates cross-functional inputs, interfaces with regulatory authorities, and builds expertise in regulatory engagement, safety, and environmental compliance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of licensing or regulatory affairs, strong technical writing, and experience with NRC/DOE interactions.

Formación

  • BS in Engineering or Science (e.g., Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical, Physics, Environmental).
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering, project management, and/or licensing/regulatory affairs experience.
  • Experience contributing to licensing/regulatory affairs efforts that resulted in regulatory outcomes (e.g., safety evaluations, design approvals, license issuance).
  • Experience participating in NRC, DOE, and/or state-level regulator interactions.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with demonstrated experience drafting regulatory submissions, RAI responses, or technical/environmental documents.

Responsabilidades

  • Support the development and execution of regulatory strategy, engagement plans, and licensing application development under the Director of Licensing.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate regulatory document review and NRC submission preparation.
  • Manage licensing schedules and monitor NRC docket activity in real time.
  • Oversee portions of regulatory activities and track milestones, escalating risks as needed.
  • Coordinate day-to-day inputs across licensing disciplines to ensure consistent submissions.
  • Review documentation from regulatory authorities for accuracy and consistency.
  • Draft regulatory responses, including RAI responses, for submission.
  • Interact with regulators, including supporting regulatory audits and meetings.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and summarize implications for the team.
  • Supervise licensing staff, including assigning work and coaching juniors.
  • Support development of regulatory budgets and resource plans.
  • Support integration of safety culture and quality in licensing processes.
