• 5+ years of backend engineering with Rust.
• Strong leadership to guide technical decisions and mentor engineers.
• Experience designing or operating distributed storage systems.
• Advanced concurrency and async programming expertise.
• Experience with gRPC or Apache Thrift for service communication.
• Cloud-native architecture with service discovery tools.
• English level B2 for collaboration and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable, high-availability backend services that integrate with distributed storage systems.
• Build high-performance Rust components and core service functionality.
• Lead system design for distributed storage features including consistency, sharding, replication, and fault tolerance.
• Implement RPC-based interfaces using gRPC or Thrift.
• Develop concurrent and asynchronous execution models for reliability and throughput.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Provide on-call support and improve operational readiness with runbooks.
• Coordinate with global teams and participate in occasional overlap meetings.
• Integrate cloud-native capabilities such as service discovery and service mesh.

Lead Backend/Distributed Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Backend/Distributed Systems Engineer to build and operate high-performance, scalable services that integrate with distributed storage systems. You will lead design and implementation work, improve reliability through troubleshooting and on-call support, and collaborate across global time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-availability backend services that interact with distributed storage systems
• Build high-performance Rust components and core service functionality
• Lead system design for distributed storage features including consistency, sharding, replication, and fault tolerance
• Implement RPC-based service interfaces using gRPC or Apache Thrift
• Develop concurrent and asynchronous execution models for reliability and throughput
• Troubleshoot production issues, debug complex failures, and drive root-cause resolution
• Provide on-call support and improve operational readiness through runbooks and diagnostics
• Coordinate with global teams and support occasional early morning or late evening overlap meetings
• Integrate cloud-native capabilities such as service discovery, service mesh, and IPv6 where required

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with Rust
• Strong leadership skills to guide technical decisions and mentor engineers
• Proven project experience designing or operating distributed storage systems or components
• Advanced concurrent programming expertise with async, multithreading, and concurrency patterns
• Strong RPC systems experience using gRPC or Apache Thrift for service-to-service communication
• Cloud-native architecture experience with service discovery tools such as Consul or ZooKeeper
• English proficiency level B2 (Upper-Intermediate) for daily collaboration and documentation
