Job summary
Source Meridian is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team in Colombia. You will be the first engineer on a new data platform for the specialty pharmacy market, setting technical standards and guiding junior engineers.
You'll build and maintain ETL pipelines on AWS (Glue, S3, IAM, Step Functions), work with Snowflake data sharing, and ensure PHI handling, de-identification, encryption, and audit trails compliant with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong SQL and Python.
- Hands-on AWS Glue and data stack (S3, IAM, Step Functions).
- Experience with healthcare data and HIPAA considerations.
- Strong English communication and leadership in teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical anchor for a new team and set coding, testing, and pipeline standards for future hires.
- Mentor and onboard intermediate and junior engineers who join later.
- Build, enhance and maintain ETL pipelines on AWS, primarily with Glue, Python, and SQL.
- Customize pipelines for each customer implementation and ingest/normalize partner data.
- Deliver curated data to customers via Snowflake and Snowflake data sharing.
