Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Data Architect to design scalable, governable data and AI architectures for diverse client environments. You will lead architecture decisions across Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, and Databricks, translating complex requirements into robust, cost-conscious solutions.

You will mentor teams, define reusable patterns, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive data governance, lakehouse implementations, and strategic opportunities across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience defining and presenting enterprise data architectures from requirements discovery through design and executive presentation.
• Strong expertise in Azure and Fabric architectures incl. Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, OneLake, Power BI, SQL, PySpark/Spark.
• Ability to design AWS solutions and integrate Databricks as a multi-cloud layer.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve scalable data, governance, and AI architectures with reusable patterns.
• Lead solution design for strategic opportunities aligned with client needs and business objectives.
• Drive architectural decisions across Azure, Fabric, AWS, and Databricks balancing cost, risk, and value.
• Act as technical advisor and mentor to strengthen team capabilities and best practices.
