FitNext Exclusive is hiring a Senior Backend/Infrastructure Engineer to own the backend and infrastructure for a growing AI voice platform serving LATAM markets. The role is highly hands-on, focused on Python/Django backend, AWS-based infrastructure, and scalable data pipelines.

You will own end-to-end system architecture, drive reliability, and contribute to model-training infrastructure, with opportunities to shape the platform as the company scales.

Responsabilidades

Company Overview

Our client is a YC Fall '26 pre-seed startup building an AI voice platform for the real estate and home services industries.

The platform automates inbound and outbound lead contact end-to-end, allowing businesses to qualify leads through natural conversations and book meetings directly on their clients' calendars. The product is already live with paying customers, and the team is now scaling its backend and infrastructure as the company grows.

The Challenge

The company is looking for a Senior Backend/Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of backend and infrastructure from the Technical Co-Founder, allowing the founding team to focus more on strategy and product direction.

This is a highly hands-on role, with approximately 80% of the work focused on backend and platform engineering and minimal frontend involvement. The current environment is built with Python and Django, containerized with Docker, and running on AWS EKS/Kubernetes. The team is also actively improving and evolving its infrastructure.

The role also offers opportunities to contribute to the company's voice AI and model-training initiatives, including in-house model deployment and infrastructure designed to reduce reliance on third-party LLM providers.

What You'll Own

• Backend architecture and development using Python and Django
• AWS infrastructure, including EC2, EKS, and Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines and production reliability
• Root-cause analysis and resolution of production issues
• End-to-end system ownership and architecture decisions
• Data orchestration pipelines supporting model training and deployment
• Self-hosted voice AI infrastructure as it scales
• LiveKit and telephony integrations

Must-Have

• Senior-level backend engineering experience with Python and Django in a production environment
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, EKS, and Kubernetes
• Strong experience working with Docker and containerized services
• Demonstrated ownership of systems end-to-end, including architecture decisions and production incident response
• Ability to challenge technical decisions and contribute your own perspective rather than simply executing instructions

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with model training, fine-tuning, or deployment
• Experience with EKS-based model serving
• Experience with LiveKit, WebRTC, or telephony integrations
