Auxis LLC is seeking a Configuration Manager to define and protect the CMS/CMDB. You will govern CI types, service mappings, and auto-discovery tools to ensure CMDB accuracy and single source of truth for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

The role collaborates with infrastructure, cloud, and network teams to maintain data integrity, map dependencies, and drive improvements in configuration data. Strong governance and auditing are essential.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Asset Management, Systems Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in ITIL Service Configuration Management or SACM.
• Proven experience building, managing, or improving a CMDB in an enterprise environment.
• Experience working with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams to maintain accurate configuration data.

Responsabilidades

• CMDB Design & Governance: Define scope, architecture, and schema of the CMDB, including CI classes, attributes, and relationship mappings.
• Service Mapping: Map technical infrastructure CIs to critical business services, enabling impact assessment for Incident and Change Management.
• Discovery Management: Configure and maintain automated discovery schedules, troubleshoot discovery errors, and integrate cloud/on-premise asset data sources.
• Compliance Audits: Establish and execute regular audit schedules to compare the physical IT environment against the CMDB, resolving discrepancies and gaps.
• Process Integration: Work with the Change Manager to ensure change requests update the CMDB accurately and flag undocumented changes as unauthorized.
• Data Quality Reporting: Establish KPIs for CMDB health and produce performance scorecards for technology owners.
• Staying up to date on relevant technologies and business processes.

Job Summary

The Configuration Manager is responsible for defining, maintaining, and protecting the integrity of the Configuration Management System (CMS) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This function ensures that accurate and reliable information about the IT infrastructure and service relationships is available when and where it is needed.The Configuration Manager will be responsible for the governance, design, and continuous accuracy of the organization's CMDB. This role will define Configuration Item (CI) types, establish service mapping relationships, manage auto-discovery tools, and lead auditing efforts to ensure the CMDB remains a trusted "single source of truth" supporting Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

Skills and Experience

EXPERIENCE

• 3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Asset Management, Systems Administration, or a related field.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in ITIL Service Configuration Management or Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM).

• Proven experience building, managing, or improving a CMDB in an enterprise environment.

• Experience working with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams to maintain accurate configuration data.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma required.

• University studies in Information Systems, IT, Project Management, or a related field are a plus.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Configuration Management and SACM practices.

• Hands-on experience with CMDB and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow CMDB or Jira Assets.

• Experience with Discovery and infrastructure mapping tools.

• Understanding of data structures, relational databases, and configuration item relationships.

• Ability to map dependencies across hardware, software, network, cloud, and business services.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• English: B2+ or higher, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Spanish: Fluent, both written and spoken.
