Job summary

MPR Tools & Equipment is hiring an Inventory & Procurement Coordinator to manage purchase orders, track shipments, and keep our inventory data accurate across our Amazon operations. You will run the daily purchasing flow and report to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement.

You bring 2+ years in purchasing or inventory support and strong Excel skills. This is a 100% remote, contractor role with a monthly rate and performance-based commission.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing support, inventory control, logistics coordination or order management.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets: lookups, filters, pivot tables, clean data entry.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong follow-up habits with timely updates.
• Good written and verbal English for supplier/3PL communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.
• Technical training or degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, Administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Keep the purchasing flow moving: raise purchase orders, confirm with suppliers, chase late ones.
• Track inbound shipments from PO to 3PL receipt and daily update the tracker.
• Pull and clean weekly data: sales velocity, stock on hand, days of cover, inbound in transit.
• Flag stockout risks and delayed shipments; report to Director.
• Follow up with suppliers on confirmations, documents, lead times, shipping details.
• Maintain item master, cost sheets and supplier records.
• Coordinate with 3PL on receiving, discrepancies and short shipments.
• Follow SOPs and flag outdated steps.

Job description

We are hiring an Inventory & Procurement Coordinator to manage purchase orders, track shipments, and keep our inventory data accurate across our Amazon operations. You will run the daily purchasing flow and report to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement.

You bring 2+ years in purchasing or inventory support and strong Excel skills.

Monthly Rate: $1,500–$2,000 USD/month (based on experience and qualifications).

Commission: Unlimited (performance-based).

Paid Time Off: 10 days per year.

Please note: The monthly rate does not include statutory benefits. As an independent contractor, you'll be responsible for your own statutory contributions (e.g., health, pension, severance) in accordance with your local regulations.

What You’ll Do

• Keep the purchasing flow moving. Raise purchase orders, confirm them with suppliers and chase the ones that slip.
• Track every inbound shipment from purchase order to received at the 3PL, and update the tracker daily.
• Pull and clean the weekly data the Director needs: sales velocity, stock on hand, days of cover and inbound in transit.
• Flag stockout risks and delayed shipments early. You report the problem, the Director makes the call.
• Follow up with suppliers on confirmations, documents, lead times and shipping details.
• Keep the item master, cost sheets and supplier records accurate and current.
• Coordinate with the 3PL on receiving, discrepancies and short shipments.
• Follow the SOPs exactly and flag the steps that no longer match reality.

What We’re Looking For

What You Need

• 2+ years in purchasing support, inventory control, logistics coordination or order management.

• Strong follow-up habits. You check in before things go quiet, and no open item goes a full week without an update.

• Technical training or degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, Administration or a related field.

Bonus Points

• Hands on experience inside Amazon Seller Central.
• Experience creating 3PL inbound shipments.
• Exposure to import documentation, freight forwarders or customs paperwork.
• Any exposure to an ERP or inventory system.
• Interest in growing into a more senior supply chain role.
