Alliance Bioversity & CIAT in Palmira, Colombia, seeks an experienced Internal Audit professional to support risk-based engagements across the Americas operations center. The role emphasizes planning fieldwork, evaluating governance and controls, and delivering practical recommendations aligned with GIAS and the Internal Audit Charter.

You will work with auditees and stakeholders, use data analytics tools, and help develop the annual audit plan while maintaining independence and confidentiality.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and donor compliance requirements.
• 6+ years in internal or external audit, risk, or compliance.
• CIA/CISA or equivalent certification desirable.
• Familiarity with GIAS and COSO frameworks.
• Experience with ERP systems (Agresso/Unit4) and data analytics tools.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Aufgaben

• Plan and execute risk-based audit engagements across operational, financial, compliance, and programmatic areas.
• Evaluate governance, risk management, and internal control processes and provide practical recommendations.
• Engage with auditees, management, and stakeholders to obtain information and support audit activities.
• Maintain independence, objectivity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Develop audit observations, actions, and reports aligned with GIAS standards.
• Monitor remediation progress and track audit issues until closure.
• Support advisory engagements with independent governance and control insights.
• Contribute to dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting.
