GeorgiaTEK Systems Inc. seeks an IBM iSeries (AS/400) Infrastructure Administrator – L2 in Bogotá to join a long-term engagement. You will administer and troubleshoot IBM i environments, perform health and capacity analyses, and manage HMC, LPARs, VIOS, and backup systems.

This role supports HA/DR setups and DR testing. You will coordinate with L1 teams and vendors, ensuring secure, efficient operation of IBM i production workloads and related networking/storage components in a demanding

Formación

• Must have 3+ years IBM i / AS400 Infrastructure Administration.
• Experience with HMC & LPAR Administration is required.
• Proficient with VIOS, BRMS and backup/recovery operations.
• Knowledge of HA/DR, storage (IFS/SAN) and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with Advanced Job Scheduler and production workload management.

IBM iSeries (AS/400) Infrastructure Administrator – L2

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot IBM i / AS400 production environments, jobs, subsystems, and system resources.
• Perform system health checks, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity analysis.
• Administer HMC, LPARs, and IBM Power Systems.
• Support and troubleshoot VIOS, including Virtual SCSI, NPIV, Virtual Ethernet, and SEA.
• Administer BRMS, backups, restores, recovery activities, and backup failures.
• Support HA/DR environments, replication, failover/failback, and DR testing.
• Administer IBM i security, user profiles, authorities, SSL/digital certificates, and SSH.
• Manage IFS, storage, disk utilization, storage expansion, and SAN connectivity.
• Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking across IBM i infrastructure.
• Administer Advanced Job Scheduler, job queues, and production workloads.
• Support IBM i OS upgrades, PTF management, HMC/VIOS maintenance, and Power firmware activities.
• Support tape libraries, devices, and backup infrastructure.
• Act as the L2 escalation point for L1 teams and coordinate with IBM/third-party vendors.
