Descripción del empleo

As the primary People presence on the ground, you will serve as a strategic partner to regional leadership, whilst aligning to HQ strategy — building and executing a people plan that is commercially grounded, data-informed, and tightly aligned with Stake's growth objectives in regulated iGaming markets across Latin America. At the same time, you will own the operational backbone of HR for Colombia and Perú: recruitment, onboarding, payroll inputs, compliance, and employee lifecycle administration.

What makes this role unique is the proximity to real business decisions and the breadth of ownership. You will work directly with the General Manager and their leadership team to co-create the people's agenda, diagnose what's holding the business back, and design fit-for-purpose solutions that tie into HQ strategic outcomes — from systemic frameworks to individual coaching conversations. You bring analytical rigour, deep knowledge of local labour law, and the commercial acumen to connect people strategy to business outcomes.

Your Squad

Our team is all about good vibes and working together like a tight-knit crew. We create a warm and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. So, if you've excelled in develop of a product, we want you on our team! We're big on collaboration, celebrating wins, and helping each other grow.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership
    • Build a deep business context for Stake - Colombia & Peru — understand their commercial goals, operations, workforce composition, and leadership dynamics to serve as a trusted advisor to regional leaders in LATAM (General Manager, Operations, Marketing, Finance).
    • Design and co-create a business people plan with your General Manager, grounded in data and insights that sets out key business problems to solve or business opportunities to go after to drive business performance that align with HQ strategic objectives.
    • Partner with your General Manager and their direct reports on all things people, ie organisational design, workforce planning, building performance, identifying structural and talent interventions that support business outcomes and scale.
    • Lead the execution of the people plan through the year, adapting to business changes while maintaining strategic momentum and accountability to agreed outcomes.
    • Use data and insights to diagnose root causes, track progress, and support business leaders with better people and business decisions.
    • Using first principles and systemic people frameworks support the continued build and scale of the business it needs. Coach and be a confidant to your leaders to uplift leadership long-term organisational capability
  • HR Operations
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all employee lifecycle administration in the region.
    • Administer employee benefits, incapacidades (medical leave) and other related affairs.
    • Support on monthly payroll inputs for Colombia and Perú ensuring accuracy.
    • Maintain orderly and audit-ready employee files, contracts, and HR documentation for both entities.
    • Organize corporate annual events (End year celebration, anniversary, special dates, among others).
    • Prepare and implement wellness plans for employees.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
    • Collaborate with the Global Talent Acquisition team to define and attract hyper-specialized profiles required in LATAM: CRM specialists, fraud/AML analysts, responsible gambling experts, PR directors, and others.
    • Own the local recruitment process end-to-end — from sourcing, engaging, and screening through to supporting interviews and making successful placements.
    • Ensure every candidate who goes through an interview process at Stake has a positive experience, with timely updates and constructive feedback at every stage.
    • Lead a flawless cultural and technical onboarding experience, ensuring new team members embrace Stake's culture of high innovation, operational flexibility, and regulatory compliance.
    • Build structured onboarding frameworks adapted to the nuances of Colombian and Peruvian markets.
  • Culture, Compliance & Employee Relations
    • Foster Stake’s global culture, adapting it sensitively and empathetically to the cultural nuances of Colombia and Perú.
    • Ensure full compliance with Colombian and Peruvian labor law, social security regulations, occupational health & safety (SGSST in Colombia, SST in Perú), and any applicable gaming regulations.
    • Provide timely, pragmatic guidance on employee relations matters — performance management, misconduct, grievances, and separations — ensuring outcomes are fair, legally compliant, and commercially sound across all relevant jurisdictions.
    • Coach and upskill leaders at all levels to handle people matters with confidence and consistency — with the explicit goal of reducing dependency on HR for day-to-day challenges over time.
    • Lead formal investigations and complex ER matters end-to-end, maintaining rigour, confidentiality, and appropriate stakeholder management throughout.
    • Build a scalable support model that empowers senior and middle leaders to manage their teams effectively — providing frameworks, tools, and coaching rather than acting as the first point of call for every people issue.
    • Identify patterns in ER activity across the division and surface systemic risks or cultural signals to leadership with recommended interventions.
Requirements
  • Proven Strategic Partnering experience, with a track record of owning and delivering meaningful business outcomes through a people lens.
  • Proven ability to coach senior leaders to improve business performance.
  • English proficiency at a professional working level (B2–C1) for interaction with global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute people plans that are grounded in data, business context and measurable against commercial outcomes.
  • Proven experience managing the full spectrum of employee relations matters — performance management, formal investigations, misconduct, and complex separations — across Latin American labour law. Multi‑jurisdiction exposure is a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, onboarding and employee experience.
  • Strong ability to influence and challenge at senior leader level — you can hold a position, push back constructively, and land difficult messages without losing the relationship.
  • Experience leading and delivering cyclical people programs — performance cycles, remuneration reviews, workforce planning — with a track record of on‑time, high‑quality execution with a continuous improvement.
  • Strong commercial acumen - you can talk business numbers first, followed by people interventions.
  • Proven ability to understand how businesses operate, what drives performance, and how to connect people levers to commercial outcomes.
  • Strong data literacy — you know what questions to ask, how to interpret workforce insights, and how to translate data into a compelling story for the business.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
