Oowlish is seeking a proactive Full Stack Software Engineer to own the current stack and modernize the platform for scalability. You will work closely with the founders, take ownership of API, UI, CI/CD, and hosting, and help drive product performance.

The role supports remote collaboration with premier US and European clients and offers opportunities for professional growth. You will apply Nest.JS, Mongoose, Vue, and Tanstack expertise while leveraging Vercel, Supabase, and AWS Beanstalk to

• Experience with Nest.JS and MongoDB/Mongoose.
• Frontend experience with Vue and Tanstack.
• Familiarity with Redis, CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and cloud hosting (AWS Beanstalk).
• Experience with modern hosting platforms like Vercel and backend services like Supabase.
• Ability to own the full stack and drive performance improvements.

As we grow, we are looking for an experienced software engineer to take ownership of our stack, help modernize our platform, and work closely with our leadership team.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive Full Stack Software Engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments. You will become a day-to-day partner for our founders, Matt and Dave, taking ownership of our current systems, helping us modernize the architecture, and ensuring that our product can scale seamlessly as our user base grows.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the entire application stack, including API, UI, CI/CD, and hosting
• Maintain, optimize, and scale the existing MVP built with Nest.JS, Mongoose, MongoDB (Atlas), Redis, Vue, and Tanstack
• Modernize the platform using cost-conscious, scalable solutions such as Vercel, Supabase, or similar technologies
• Collaborate closely with founders to prioritize development, implement new features, and improve product performance
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve speed, scalability, and reliability
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and infrastructure management with Terraform
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, improve product features, and gain competitive advantages

Requirements

• Strong experience with Nest.JS and Mongoose / MongoDB
• Solid front-end experience with Vue and Tanstack
• Familiarity with Redis, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and cloud hosting (AWS Beanstalk)
• Experience with modern hosting platforms like Vercel and backend services like Supabase is highly desirable
• Ability to understand the entire product stack and take full ownership of components
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to optimize for scalability and performance
• Comfortable working closely with founders in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Experience working in cost-conscious environments and making technology trade-offs thoughtfully

• Exposure to AI-driven product enhancements
