Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to design and scale a platform used by enterprise procurement teams. You’ll own frontend and backend work across React and Ruby on Rails, turning wireframes into production features with input from product, data science, and design teams.

The role requires 3+ years building web apps with Rails or similar MVC frameworks, React/TypeScript, SQL databases (Postgres/RDS), and strong HTML/CSS skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building web apps using Rails, Entity, Spring, or similar MVC framework.
• 3+ years using JavaScript/TypeScript to build SPAs with React.
• 3+ years working with SQL databases, preferably Postgres/RDS.
• 3+ years of HTML/CSS development for the web.
• 3+ years converting wireframes into production features.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and adapting to changing requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a strategic mindset; leadership potential is a plus.
• Performance mindset for client/server performance optimization.
• Experience using Git with GitHub.
• Experience in fast-moving environments with on-call rotations and SLAs/SLOs/RPOs/RTOs.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation and build scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Staff Tech Leads to estimate and commit.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize development processes.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
