A leading company is looking for a Freelance Software Engineer to design and build scalable data models and pipelines. The role involves building real-time data solutions, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with teams. This position is primarily remote, based in Germany, with a preference for onsite work in Berlin.

Formación

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in similar projects.
• Strong skills in Java and Spark SQL.
• Experience with Kafka and understanding of OLAP engines.

We’re looking for a Freelance Software Engineer on behalf of our client, to help design and build scalable data models and pipelines. This will support analytical queries for internal applications used by multiple departments.

Key focus areas:

• Build and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines (Kafka, Spark)
• Model data for fast analytical queries
• Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability
• Data architecture and data modeling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions

Requirements:

• Strong Java and Spark SQL skills
• Experience with Kafka and Spark
• Understanding of OLAP engines and data modeling
• Familiarity with columnar databases is a plus
• A minimum of 3 years experience working in similar projects

Location: Germany (Remote)
Start: July 2025 (earliest June)
Initial Contract: 6 Months

Please note that due to the nature of this projects, freelancers should be readily based in Germany. Possibility to be onsite in Berlin is preferred.
