Genius Sports is seeking a Finance Manager for the Americas based in Medellin with a hybrid pattern requiring a few days in the office. You will lead the Americas accounting team, ensure timely monthly reporting (P&L, balance sheet, and commentary) and drive improvements in processes and controls.

You will work with US GAAP, local Colombia accounting/tax, support SEC reporting, and collaborate across functions to standardise reporting and strengthen the finance function across the region.

Responsabilidades

• Support and development of the Americas accounting team, 2/3 direct reports.
• Lead monthly regional results: P&L, balance sheet, commentary.
• Review and improve balance sheet reconciliations.
• Drive improvements in finance processes.
• Support SOX controls and compliance.
• Ensure accounting aligns with GAAP and policy.
• Support US GAAP reporting for SEC needs.
• Assist local audits and tax compliance in the region.
• Perform other ad hoc finance tasks as required.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced individual for the role of Finance Manager – Americas. This role is key to ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reporting requirements, strengthening the capability of the Americas team and forging a finance function that drives the business to success. The role covers the America’s region with the largest work being in the US and Colombia where we have large offices. We also cover Canada and Brazil from the region.

The role has a hybrid working pattern with a requirement to be in the Medellin office a few days each week. The role requires a high level of interaction with Group and other finance teams, non-finance teams and with third parties.

What You’ll Do

• Support and development of the Americas accounting team, including 2/3 direct reports and wider finance team
• Take a lead on completion monthly Regional results including P&L, BS and commentary.
• Review and improvement of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Improvements in Finance Processes.
• Support in the completion and improvement of SOX controls to ensure SOX compliance.
• Ensuring all accounting is in line with required GAAP and Group policy.
• Supporting SEC reporting team in US GAAP reporting.
• Supporting RFC in completion of local Audits and local tax compliance
• Other Ad hoc work as required.
