Vercel Inc. is seeking a data engineer to own reliability of our financial data, building pipelines from billing and usage to our warehouse. You will model data for revenue recognition, margin, and forecasting, while ensuring accuracy and auditability for Finance stakeholders.

You will collaborate with FP&A, Accounting and Revenue, set technical direction, and mentor other engineers to raise the bar for data infrastructure.

Formación

• 4+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering with end-to-end pipeline ownership.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with production-grade code experience.
• Hands-on dbt, dimensional modeling, and modern ELT/ETL workflows.
• Finance data experience including revenue metrics and close/forecasting.
• Ability to translate business questions into durable data models.
• Strong communication and mentoring capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Own pipelines bringing billing, usage, and contract data into the warehouse.
• Diagnose data quality and freshness issues at the source.
• Design and maintain dbt models for revenue recognition and forecasting.
• Set testing and documentation standards for Finance-grade accuracy.
• Build datasets and semantic models powering dashboards for FP&A and Leadership.
• Promote self-service to reduce ad-hoc data requests.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, Revenue to align data needs with questions.
• Write pipeline and transformation code to a high engineering standard.
• Mentor engineers and help set technical standards.
