City of Austin is seeking a Building & Grounds Assistant to keep facilities clean and inviting. This hands-on role covers interior cleaning, minor repairs, and ensuring spaces are well-kept for the community.

Responsibilities include cleaning interiors, handling chemicals, basic maintenance, and event setup. The position involves varied hours and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Formación

• 1 year of janitorial or grounds keeping experience.
• Able to read and write English.
• Must possess Texas Driver's License if operating vehicles.

Responsabilidades

• Clean building interiors.
• Mix, stir, and pour chemicals.
• Perform grounds maintenance.
• Perform minor building maintenance and repair.
• Operate and maintain assigned vehicles/equipment.
• Set up/tear down exhibit halls and ballrooms for events.
• Perform minor construction tasks as needed.
• Complete forms and prepare reports.
• Maintain inventory and assist with purchases.
• Assist with training new staff.
