Amadeus IT Group Colombia, S.A.S. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow one of our Flight Management teams in Bogotá.

You will manage a cross‑functional group of software engineers, QA engineers, and analysts, collaborating with colleagues in London and Bangalore to deliver mission‑critical solutions for airlines. The ideal candidate will drive cloud-native transitions, champion AI adoption, and foster a culture of learning and inclusion while shaping the future of FM across global

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in team and people management.
• Proficient in C++, Java, Python; AI knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with mission-critical systems is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Job Title Engineering Manager

About Your Business Area/Department: Every day, millions of passengers travel safely thanks to systems that ensure aircraft are loaded efficiently and remain within safe weight and balance limits. At Amadeus, our Altea Flight Management (FM) solution supports over 120 airlines and 60 ground handlers worldwide, helping them improve safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability.

Summary of the role: We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and grow one of our Flight Management teams in Bogotá. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a mission‑critical product while helping establish Bogotá as a global hub for Flight Management engineering. Working with colleagues across Bogotá, London, and Bangalore, you will lead a cross‑functional team of software engineers, QA engineers, and analysts, delivering innovative solutions that power airline operations around the world.

• Contribute to product strategy, technical roadmaps, and innovation initiatives that will define the next generation of flight operations technology.
• Build a center of excellence: Strengthen collaboration across our global FM organization and help establish Bogotá as a recognized center of excellence for Flight Management engineering.
• Represent FM within Amadeus and engage with customers and stakeholders to shape the future of our solutions.

About the Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or any related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Team and People management experience.
• Technical experience: C++ / Java / Python / CAN / AI.
• Problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of operating mission‑critical systems is a plus.
• Great English communication skills.
