Job summary

Auxis is seeking a Manager of Email Security Engineering in Bogotá, Colombia, to own our messaging security strategy and lead a distributed engineering team. You will architect a resilient cloud email protection stack and drive measurable reductions in successful attacks.

Location: Bogotá, Colombia (Hybrid – Connecta 26 hub). The role requires deep Exchange Online expertise, strong threat tradecraft, and 8+ years in security engineering with 2+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in messaging or security engineering; at least 2+ years in people leadership.
• Deep expertise in Exchange Online mail flow and advanced threat tradecraft.
• Advanced English (B2+ or higher) for global stakeholder collaboration.
• Certifications such as CISSP or GCIA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of specialized email security engineers.
• Drive SPF, DKIM, and DMARC implementation to full enforcement without disrupting legitimate mail.
• Own secure email gateways and cloud-native controls (Proofpoint, Mimecast, or Defender for O365).
• Partner with SOC and awareness teams to automate phishing remediation workflows.

We are actively expanding our cyber defense capabilities at Auxis. Right now, I am looking for a Manager of Email Security Engineering to take complete ownership of our messaging security strategy.

This is not just about maintaining gateways. It is about leading a distributed engineering team, architecting a resilient cloud email protection stack, and driving measurable reductions in successful attacks.

Your Mission:

• Lead the Charge: Direct and mentor a team of specialized email security engineers.
• Enforce Trust: Drive the authentication program (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to full enforcement across a complex estate without disrupting legitimate business mail.
• Own the Stack: Mastermind our secure email gateways and cloud-native controls (Proofpoint, Mimecast, or Microsoft Defender for O365).
• Close the Loop: Partner with SOC and awareness teams to turn phishing response, user reporting workflows, and sandboxing into automated remediation.

The Profile We Need:

• 8+ years in messaging or security engineering, with at least 2+ years of direct people leadership.
• Deep expertise in Exchange Online mail flow and advanced threat tradecraft.
• Advanced English (B2+ or higher) for global stakeholder collaboration.
• Certifications like CISSP, GCIA, or vendor-specific credentials are a huge plus!
