About the role

This is an opportunity to join a nearshore production hub in Bogotá as Email Developer — building the HTML email templates that power the company enrollment marketing programs across healthcare education institutions.

Based in Bogotá, you'll be part of a four‑person Email Development team responsible for translating approved design files into technically precise, rendering‑tested, accessible, and deployment‑ready HTML emails at the volume and pace required by a high‑performance studio.

THE ROLE

The Email Developer builds, tests, and maintains HTML email templates within the company's CRM platform. You translate design files from the Art Direction and Integrated Design teams into clean, responsive, cross‑client‑compatible email code — and you own the technical QA process that ensures every template renders correctly before deployment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build responsive HTML email templates from approved design files, following company's technical specifications, accessibility standards, and platform requirements
• Develop and maintain a modular template library for each Company institution enabling efficient campaign production and brand‑consistent execution at scale
• Conduct thorough pre‑deployment technical QA: cross‑client rendering tests (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, mobile), link validation, image hosting verification, dynamic content testing, and personalization variable checks
• Upload and configure campaign builds within the CRM platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent) — including audience selection, content blocks, subject line configuration, and scheduling setup
• Partner with the CRM Campaign Managers to troubleshoot rendering issues, resolve technical errors, and support last‑minute campaign edits under deadline
• Implement and maintain email accessibility standards — alt text, semantic markup, color contrast, and keyboard navigability — across all templates
• Maintain version control and documentation for all email templates within the studio's file management system
• Support the integration of AI‑generated content from Pencil into HTML templates, ensuring AI‑produced copy and imagery is correctly implemented and technically compliant
• Stay current with email client updates and rendering changes, proactively updating templates as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3 years of experience with proficiency in HTML and CSS for email — including responsive design, inline styling, and cross‑client compatibility
• Experience building email templates within enterprise CRM platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or equivalent)
• Thorough understanding of email rendering across major clients — Outlook (all versions), Gmail, Apple Mail, and mobile — and experience using tools like Litmus or Email on Acid for testing
• Familiarity with dynamic content, AMPscript (or equivalent platform templating language), and personalization implementation
• Strong attention to technical detail and a systematic approach to QA
• Professional proficiency in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage for the Colombia hub role
• Comfortable working in high‑volume production environments with tight deployment schedules

Gen AI & Agentic Thinking

• Familiarity with AI‑assisted HTML tools, code generation assistants, or AI‑powered email testing tools
• Willingness to develop workflows for integrating AI‑generated content (from Pencil) into technically sound HTML templates
• Systematic, quality‑first approach to technical build and testing

Qualifications: Formal degrees are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts.
