Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an EHS Coordinator to develop, implement, and maintain the Integrated Business Management Systems (EHSQ) across our manufacturing operations. You will conduct on-site audits, monitor safety metrics, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or related field, 5+ years in EHS, strong knowledge of ISO standards and risk assessment methodologies, and fluency in English and

• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the JCI Integrated Business Management Systems (EHSQ).
• Conduct and coordinate regular onsite audits and inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.
• Monitor and evaluate EHS performance metrics, fostering a culture of accountability and proactive safety management.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing EHS risks through effective problem-solving techniques.
• Coordinate training sessions to ensure staff awareness and adherence to EHS policies and procedures.
• Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse perspectives and ensure unified safety practices.
• Provide clear and consistent feedback to management and staff on EHS performance and compliance.
• Streamline processes to remove obstacles and enhance operational efficiency for internal and external stakeholders.
