The Kremen School of Education and Human Development at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), invites applicants for a tenure-track, academic year position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, working in the P12 Administration and Doctoral Programs in Educational Leadership. The successful candidate will teach graduate students at the master's and doctoral degree levels; advise students in cohort expectations, fieldwork, and culminating experiences, including doctoral dissertations; supervise administrator internships; conduct research and write grants in the field of educational leadership; and engage in service-related activities in the field, community, and across the university setting.
Fresno State is designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI). The university has a strong history of service and preparation of educators since the institution’s founding as a Normal School in 1911. The Kremen School of Education and Human Development has been nationally accredited since 1954, offering 34 distinct credentials, many master’s degree programs, as well as an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
The Department of Educational Leadership faculty prepares candidates to effectively lead in educational organizations in the Central Valley of California and beyond. Our graduates serve in leadership roles in diverse educational settings such as public and private schools, colleges, universities, and other related educational agencies. We offer three graduate programs: the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, the Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership (HEAL), and the P12 Administration Program.
The Fresno State P12 Administration Program advances the next generation of equity-driven school administrators in the Central Valley through coursework and embedded fieldwork experiences. This model includes high expectations, mastery learning, and cohorts of individuals currently employed in the educational setting. The program consists of a three-semester sequential progression and is based on the California Administrator Performance Expectations. Candidates are expected to apply theoretical and scholarly concepts, knowledge, and leadership skills in leading schools and districts.
