A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking to combine the strengths of a Bid Manager with those of a Project Manager in one position. Do you have a strong technical background in Control and Protection Systems in High Voltage Substations? This role is part of the Grid Automation team, which provides solutions for Control and Protection Systems for High Voltage Substations to the customer.

As a Bid and Project Manager for Control and Protection Systems in High Voltage Projects, your tasks include the preparation and presentation of technical and commercial bids, as well as full responsibility for delivering automation and protection projects within project targets to satisfy internal and external customers. You will work with a network of technical experts to implement state-of-the-art technologies and drive the future of digital substations.

How You’ll Make An Impact

1. Build proposals for EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and end customers within the field of Protection and Control systems in HV and MV substations, including hardware and software scope of supply.
2. Independently analyze customer technical specifications to understand product and solution aspects.
3. Ensure high-quality and timely preparation and presentation of proposals.
4. Manage projects in protection, control, and cybersecurity for HV projects, ensuring delivery within timeline, budget, and quality.
5. Handle interface management with subcontractors and manage risks, opportunities, and claims.
6. Work closely with technical experts and provide regular project reports to management.

What You Bring

• A completed university degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a similar field.
• More than 10 years of experience in the Energy transmission sector; candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
• A strong technical background in protection, control, and substation automation in HV substations, with the ability to influence and build strong customer relationships.
• Over 3 years of project management experience (preferably with certification such as IPMA, PM@Siemens, or similar) and 5 or more years of bid management and offer preparation experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally, approximately 40% of the time.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
