Alignerr is seeking an E-commerce Data Analyst to review and improve product data powering AI-driven shopping. This fully remote, hourly contract role is open to anyone with a sharp eye for quality and an understanding of online retail.

You will review listings, evaluate AI-generated descriptions, and tag items using defined guidelines. The role emphasizes independent work, strong written English, and data-quality assurance.

About The Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with a sharp eye for quality and a natural understanding of how online retail works. No formal e-commerce or retail background required.

What You'll Do

• Review product listings for accuracy, completeness, and correct categorization
• Evaluate AI-generated product descriptions and recommendation outputs for quality
• Tag and classify products using structured category systems and defined guidelines
• Identify duplicate, misleading, or low-quality product entries
• Provide clear, structured feedback that helps AI improve product search and discovery
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Comfortable navigating online shopping platforms and familiar with product categories
• Detail-oriented with a systematic, consistent approach to classification tasks
• At ease working with structured data and web-based tools
• Strong written communication skills in English
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No prior e-commerce, retail, or AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience in retail, merchandising, product management, or catalog management
• Background in data entry, quality assurance, or content moderation
• Familiarity with AI tools or e-commerce platforms as an end user
