Visa Consulting and Analytics is seeking a senior leader to drive high-impact projects across the Andean region. You will lead engagements with issuers, merchants, acquirers, neobanks and fintechs, delivering strategies and roadmaps.

The role requires extensive payments experience, strong executive presence and the ability to guide complex client programs across multiple workstreams.

Formación

• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years with an Advanced Degree or 3+ years with a PhD
• Extensive client-facing experience with senior management
• Proven leadership in matrixed organizations and payments industry knowledge

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) team is looking for an individual to join our consulting practice and play a key role leading high impact projects in the Andean region. The potential candidate will be responsible for delivering and implementing projects and solutions with issuers, merchants, acquirers, neobanks and fintechs. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.

Potential engagements could include portfolio management diagnostics, authorization optimization strategies, assessments of digital product and marketing programs, development of new products with implementation roadmaps, optimizing client customer servicing processes, among others.

Specific Responsibilities Include

• Proactively engage with consulting and client leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of analytic work.
• Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
• Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, sales, risk, client services, products) to implement projects in ways that maximize the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources.
• Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities.
• Participate in the sales process to qualify opportunities and, using a consultative approach, guide clients to the correct engagement type to address their needs.
• Develop engagement pitches, draft proposals and in coordination with account executives secure new consulting assignments with clients.
• Deliver consulting engagements, including managing the team of consultants, resolving complex strategic problems, synthesizing recommendations, preparing and delivering client presentations, managing complex project structures.
• Manage various systems of record for pricing approvals, internal routing, legal/funding approvals, and accurate revenue recognition.
• Develop and deliver client-ready presentations in collaboration with junior and senior resources on the team.
• Lead advisory initiatives and be the main source of strategic insight and direction to the team.
• Use data to manage risks and uncover improvement opportunities.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 5+ years’ experience working in the payments industry, preferably managing cards portfolios or relevant experience at payments management in consulting firms
• An educational background ideally in a quantitative field such as engineering, economics, computer science, business administration, or finance.
• Extensive client-facing experience with proven ability to interact and present effectively to senior management.
• Demonstrated executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effective presentations and communication at all organizational levels.
• Proven leadership and managerial skills, especially in matrixed organizations, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members who are not direct reports.
• In depth knowledge of payment schemes, including products, processes, and cards lifecycle management.
• Highly collaborative with experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, using data to manage risks and uncover improvement opportunities.
• Passionate, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
• Primary owner of consulting business development, responsible for overseeing the delivery of full engagements, which may consist of multiple workstreams or projects.
