Kent is seeking a Junior Designer II to support ongoing projects in Colombia. You will draft plans, drawings, and diagrams, assist engineers, and help resolve audit findings while adapting to project needs.

The role requires a background in drafting with experience in P&IDs and Smart Plant tools, plus English proficiency and willingness to collaborate across teams.

Formación

  • High school diploma or technical degree.
  • Drafter, Technician, or Technologist in a related field.
  • Basic/Intermediate level of English preferred.
  • 4.1 to 8 years of specific experience.
  • Experience in revising existing P&IDs and creating new P&IDs.
  • Experience applying symbology diagrams.
  • Experience with Smart Plant P&IDs.
  • Knowledge and use of drafting software (AutoCAD 2D).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Preparation of PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Data collection in the field.

Responsabilidades

  • Drafting, Drawings, and Diagrams: develop plans, drawings, and diagrams per project requirements and client needs.
  • Technical Support: assist Engineers with standards and client requests to optimize project development.
  • Audit Support: participate in addressing internal audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as needed within the scope of duties and development.

About the job

Kent is seeking a Junior Designer II to support ongoing projects.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting, Drawings, and Diagrams: Develop and create plans, drawings, and diagrams specific to each project, applying specific knowledge, standards, and established norms for each document, to ensure that the requirements and needs set by the client and the projects are met within the deadlines defined in the Detailed Work Program and with the Quality and Compliance parameters stipulated in the Value Proposition.
  • Technical Support: Support the Engineers in the preparation, review, supplementation, or expansion of the generally applied technical standards, according to procedures established by the Company and client requests, in order to optimize and facilitate project development.
  • Audit Support: Participate in resolving findings from internal audits, periodic verifications, and/or non-conformity reports issued by the Quality Department, as requested by your immediate supervisor, in order to support the completion of activities that allow for the closure of corrective and/or preventive actions for the timely development of improvement initiatives.
  • In addition to the responsibilities listed in this document, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or as directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, abilities, and roles within the organization. The intent of this credit is to allow flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All these tasks will be assigned taking into account the employee's current workload and professional development.
Knowledge/Qualifications/Training/Certification
  • High school diploma or technical degree.
  • Drafter, Technician, or Technologist in a related field.
  • Basic/Intermediate level of English preferred.
  • 4.1 to 8 years of specific experience.
  • Experience in revising existing P&IDs and creating new P&IDs.
  • Experience applying symbology diagrams.
  • Experience with Smart Plant P&IDs.
  • Knowledge and use of drafting software (AutoCAD 2D).

Communication
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English (preferred) in oral and written communication skills.
