EPAM Systems in Colombia is seeking a Data Software Engineer to build data-centric applications using Spark, PySpark, and AWS. You will work with multinational teams to deliver innovative data solutions addressing complex business needs.

The role requires 2+ years in data software engineering, strong data engineering fundamentals, and proficiency in Python/Java/Scala, SQL/NoSQL, and AWS (Glue/Redshift). English communication at B2 level is essential.

Formación

• 2+ years in Data Software Engineering with Big Data tech.
• Strong foundation in data engineering topics: data management, storage, visualization, operations, security.
• In-depth knowledge of ingestion pipelines, data warehousing, and data lakes.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or Kotlin; SQL/NoSQL skills.
• Experience with AWS services (Glue, Redshift) and CI/CD workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Build and extend data software applications used by Data Integration Engineers.
• Deliver analytical solutions using Spark, PySpark, NoSQL and Big Data tech.
• Optimize data workflows with AWS services and features.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to gather insights.
• Coordinate with architects and leads to keep solutions aligned.
• Analyze business needs and current tech to implement suitable solutions.
• Review code to ensure high quality and best practices.
• Verify solutions through testing and performance checks.
• Create documentation for future development and reference.
• Consult with clients to understand objectives and provide recommendations.
