Sagan Recruitment is seeking a Data & Automation Analyst for Finance on a remote, independent-contractor basis. The role requires 4–6 hours daily overlap with US Eastern Time and a strong track record of delivering data and automation projects end-to-end.

You will leverage advanced Excel skills and a keen business sense to build permanent solutions, verify outputs, and navigate complex database structures. A drive to learn new tools and ship practical workflows is essential.

Data & Automation Analyst, Finance

Location: Remote (4–6 hours daily overlap with US Eastern)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Business Hours (TBD)

Compensation: 2500 - 4000 USD/month

Note: Independent contractor position

• Genuine enthusiasm for AI, actively following new tools and building practical workflows unprompted.
• Strong business curiosity and commercial judgment regarding how a mid-market business operates and generates revenue.
• Verification instinct: a habit of challenging AI-generated outputs, reconciling numbers against source systems, and auditing totals for accuracy.
• Natural automation instinct—a habit of building permanent solutions when encountering repeated manual tasks.
• Strong data navigation skills with the ability to reason about database tables, logic, and output sanity.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven track record of shipping end-to-end automation or data projects.
• Ability to commit to 4–6 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time.
