Role Description

In the role of a Data Analyst you will support our Data Science team, and possess a demonstrable track record of delivering data‑driven insights and analytical support across complex projects. Successful candidates will have the technical and commercial acumen to support cross‑functional teams, working across multiple sectors including UK and US markets. The role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively with data scientists and business stakeholders, ensuring analytical deliverables are accurate, insightful, and aligned with project goals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing large datasets, producing clear dashboards and reports, and contributing to the design of scalable data solutions. Candidates should have experience juggling multiple priorities, ensuring data integrity, and driving measurable impact through thoughtful analysis.

The successful candidate’s role aligns directly with the Company’s ongoing automation, scale, and operational intelligence.

  • Data Pipeline Automation: You will be required to support our roadmap to build scalable, reusable data pipelines for internal and external data delivery, decreasing time‑to‑insight.
  • Platform and Data Product Maturity: You will be part of a team which provide reliable, real‑time, and well‑governed data as part of our core M&A platform offerings.
  • Systems Resilience and Sustainability: Reduce reliance on fragile tooling or one‑off fixes, ensure a robust, production‑grade data infrastructure.
  • Cross‑Team Enablement: Facilitates better integration between engineering and planning.
Required Candidate Profile
  • Skills: Python, SQL, Pandas, Azure Automations tools (Power Apps, Power Automate), Linux/shell scripting.
  • Expert‑level web scraping skills and hands‑on experience with diverse scraping tools for multi‑source data extraction are required.
  • Experience: 2–3 years in data‑focused roles, preferably in analytics or automation.
  • Traits: Proactive, systems thinker, excellent communicator, strong problem‑solver.
Responsibilities
  • Recommend internal process improvements for scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners and provide regular updates and reports on assigned tasks.
  • Create and customize SharePoint lists and forms using Power Apps to optimize data collection with business logic and dynamic user interfaces. Support planning staff with data management, analysis, and research.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and automating existing data systems. Improve automation of data acquisition.
  • Develop and update public‑facing data, including the main company platforms.
  • Create data collection pipelines for various reporting requirements.
  • Automate business processes and workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Create data visualizations and reports using Power BI.
  • Web scraping with diverse scraping tools for multi‑source data extraction.
  • Facilitate data integration and analysis by applying data standards, ontologies, and metadata.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to write and present technical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python, SQL, or R.
  • Ability to apply logical thinking to solve complex problems.
  • Background in data mining and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Polars.
  • Intermediate experience with databases and query languages like SQL.
  • Experience with Linux, shell scripting, and Azure Apps.
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

UK or US working hours.

Reliable internet connection is a must.
