BairesDev is seeking a Computer Scientist to tackle advanced algorithmic problems at scale. You will work on inference, ranking, matching, classification, and optimization over huge datasets, turning ambiguous requirements into well-defined solutions for production.

Collaboration with researchers and engineers is constant. You should have a degree in Computer Science (or near completion), strong algorithms and data structures skills, Python proficiency, and excellent English.

Computer Scientist at BairesDev

In this role, you'll tackle some of the hardest algorithmic problems in computer science, working on inference, ranking, matching, classification, and optimization over datasets containing hundreds of millions of entities and billions of relationships. This is not a backend, infrastructure, or data engineering role — the primary responsibility is formulating complex computational problems and designing scalable algorithmic solutions that can be validated and deployed in production. This is your opportunity to work on problems where no standard solution exists, combining algorithmic creativity with sound engineering judgment to turn ambiguous ideas into reliable, maintainable systems at massive scale.

What You'll Do:

• Design and implement algorithms for inference, ranking, matching, classification, and prediction problems.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain production-quality software.
• Ability to reason about scalability, computational complexity, and performance tradeoffs.
• Comfort working on ambiguous, open-ended problems and progressively transforming them into well-defined computational solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Experience with graph algorithms and network analysis.
• Background in information retrieval.
