The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Administrator, PREA to serve as the facility’s subject matter expert on all compliance and accreditation issues related to PREA. You will guide and report on PREA standards, and drive improvements across facility operations.

Key responsibilities include coordinating PREA training, producing reports, and updating policies to ensure audit readiness. This role requires strong communication and the ability to work with DHS coordinators and facility

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Experience in corrections, law enforcement, or related work preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a structured environment.

Responsabilidades

  • Serve as facility subject matter expert on PREA compliance.
  • Coordinate and report PREA compliance activities and audits.
  • Develop and update PREA-related policies and procedures.
  • Prepare annual PREA reports and corrective actions.
  • Monitor reporting for retaliation and liaise with DHS PREA coordinators.

Responsibilities
Summary

The Compliance Administrator, PREA serves as the facility’s subject matter expert on all compliance and accreditation issues and oversees and coordinates a facility’s compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). It provides guidance and recommendations for compliance with Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) PREA standards and continuously makes facility improvements in these areas and reports them to the Facility Administrator and Corporate PREA Coordinator.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • The Compliance Administrator, PREA serves as the facility’s primary liaison and point person on the PREA and coordinates facility’s compliance efforts and reporting requirements to comply with the Act.
  • The Compliance Administrator, PREA attends PREA training workshops, responds to inquiries, and coordinates and conducts training for facility staff on PREA as needed.
  • Prepares reports and presentations as needed.
  • The Compliance Administrator, PREA writes, updates, trains and oversees the implementation of Corporate and facility specific PREA related policies and procedures in order to better insure compliance with all PREA standards and audit requirements.
  • Compiles facility statistics and reports on incidents of Sexual Activity and Sexual Abuse.
  • Assists with PREA Facility assessments.
  • Prepares an annual report on findings and corrective actions for the Facility.
  • Monitors individuals who report abuse for retaliation in accordance with established PREA policy.
  • Serves as the facility’s primary advocate and liaison with the DHS PSA and Corporate PREA Coordinators as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field along with three (3) year experience in a corrections, law enforcement, or related capacity. Experience needs to demonstrate an understanding of PREA to compare the requirements to a facility’s operations. (A high school diploma or GED with five (5) years of progressive experience in corrections, law enforcement or related fields may be substituted based on management’s discretion.)
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to make presentations to employees at all levels of the facility. Must be able to write cohesive and comprehensive documentation.
  • Ability to use tact, discretion, and capacity for obtaining the cooperation and confidence of others.
  • Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others.
  • Well organized, multi-task oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written correspondence.
  • Ability to develop accurate and effective reports that may explain technical information.
  • Ability to obtain certification for training such as CPR, First Aid, and firearms.
  • Ability to maintain high tolerance to mental stress.
  • Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying climatic conditions.
  • Ability to work with computers and the applicable software used by the department.
