WSP en Colombia is seeking an experienced Communications Systems BIM Modeller to design and model 3D BIM elements for electrical and communications systems in large infrastructure projects. You will support CAD/BIM tasks, prepare installation details, and align with BIM standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of hands-on experience with CAD and BIM tools, including Revit, ACC, and Dynamo scripting, in a consulting setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, planning, GIS, engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in Electrical or Communications Systems design using CAD and 3D BIM modeling in a consulting office.
• Proficiency with communication systems (PA, CCTV, DAS, BCN, telephony) and equipment selection.

Responsabilidades

• Design and 3D model Communications Systems elements (PA, CCTV, telephony, DAS, fibre, etc.).
• Prepare system and equipment installation details for project submissions.
• Support BIM tasks: cabling routing, system calculations, equipment selection, CAD/BIM coordination.
• Uphold BIM standards, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with host BIM/design teams to optimize workflow.
• Work independently or with senior leads and BIM Lead.
• Stay current with BIM, Revit, ACC, automation trends and digital delivery methods.
• Contribute to high-quality project delivery.

Build the future with us – As a Communications Systems BIM Modeller, this is your chance to bring your BIM and Communications Systems design expertise to projects that shape the GTA and Southwestern Ontario's transportation infrastructure. In this role, you will contribute to future‑focused solutions and support a major digital transformation initiative within our Rail & Transit group.

Your Impact

• Design and 3D model Communications Systems elements (e.g., PA, CCTV, Telephony, data network, DAS, fibre and copper links etc.), cable routing, conduit and duct bank routing, riser diagrams, and others.
• Prepare system and equipment installation details for project submission packages.
• Support Communications Systems Designers/Engineers with CAD/BIM tasks related to the Communications Systems designs, cabling routing, system calculations, equipment selection, etc.
• Apply and uphold WSP’s BIM standards, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with WSP’s host BIM/design team to optimize multi‑regional workflow efficiency.
• Work independently or collaboratively under the direction of senior technical leads, engineers, or BIM Lead.
• Contribute to continuous improvements by staying current with BIM, Revit, ACC, automation trends, and digital delivery technologies.
• Complete other tasks required to support high-quality project delivery.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, planning, GIS, engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Electrical or Communications Systems designs using CAD and advanced BIM 3D Revit modeling in a consulting office.
• Working knowledge of communication systems (e.g., PA, CCTV, DAS, BCN, telephony, etc.), conduit/duct bank sizing, and equipment selection.
• Proficiency in Revit 3D Modeling, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM add‑ins; Autodesk Revit Certification is considered an asset.
• Experience supporting regional or national BIM standards and contributing to design automation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Navisworks and Dynamo scripting for workflow optimization.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation.
