About the role

At Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, we are looking for a passionate Catering Sales Manager. Reporting into the Director of Catering Sales, you will be responsible for booking a variety of event business and coordinating with all department staff involved in fulfilling the needs of events and guests. You will prospect, sell, plan, and service both corporate and social events while upholding food and service standards and maximizing revenue and profit potential.

What You Will Do
  • Actively prospect and solicit, develop, and maintain local corporate event accounts through telephone, personal sales calls, trade shows, and on‑site entertainment.
  • Demonstrate appropriate timeliness in getting proposals to client.
  • Assist with all inquiries within the sales, marketing and catering department, including assistance with high telephone volume and walk‑in site inspections.
  • Research new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate companies or organizations likely to produce business for the hotel, and to invite potential users to tour the property and conduct individual tours, highlighting the facilities and services and achieve maximum revenue / profit potential white satisfying client needs.
  • Coordinate the sales efforts between sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.
  • Maintain Knowledge of hotel facilities, bedrooms, capacities and dimensions of meeting spaces.
  • Continuously update Golden Sales & Catering with the events information (room hire, catering services and menu’s).
  • Prepare Banquet Event Orders and issue them as per Four Seasons standards.
  • Attend the BEO meeting with hotel staff.
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Be the liaison between the client and the hotel for all of the client needs. (catering and events, audio visual, transportation, off‑site event recommendations).
  • Ensure and supervise the successful execution of the event in compliance with Four Seasons standards.
  • Communicate to, coordinate and motivate, all other departments so all client needs are exceeded.
  • Find solutions to the inevitable challenges and glitches that arise while the clients are on property.
  • Enhance all food and beverage programs, Audio Visual and room hire for each client by upselling additional services in order to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain accurate revenue for all streams in Golden Sales & catering for precise weekly and monthly forecasts.
  • If required by Director of Catering, contribute to the preparation and analysis of the Event services weekly forecast and month end financial summaries.
  • Achieve yearly personal and team sales booking goals.
  • Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks provide bill review on completion of each program.
  • Facilitate and monitor training of catering trainee, catering coordinator, catering executive and new team members.
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the event services weekly forecast.
  • Wedding Prospects with high contract conclusion percentage.
  • Sales call for wedding agency / planners and keep relationship with them.
  • Maintain a competitive edge over the competition by consistently being creative in developing new menus, theme party ideas and new ways to attract new and repeat business.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Director of Catering.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 3–4 years of demonstrated expertise in managing high‑end events, preferably at luxury 5‑star hotels.
  • Proven experience managing both corporate and social events (weddings, banquets, conferences, MICE, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of budget management, client negotiation, and contract closing.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; an additional language is a plus.
  • Demonstrates composure and effective decision‑making when facing challenging situations.
