DHL Corporate Procurement in Bogotá seeks a procurement professional to drive aviation category strategies, manage airline partnerships, and lead local tenders. You will collaborate with regional and local stakeholders to ensure capacity, service quality and competitive pricing.

The role requires 4-5 years in procurement, strong ESG and stakeholder influence, and excellent communication skills in a global logistics context.

Job Purpose:

• Typical Scope & Complexities / Key Facts:
• Scope and Focus: Strategic sourcing, contract management and customer service
• Complexities. 28 countries, 4 business Unites
• Level of interactions: Global, regional and local
• Key stakeholders: Managing Directors, Account Directors , In Trade Operations management
• Develop and execute aviation category strategies aligned with regional and global air freight network requirements.
• Manage airline relationships and strategic partnerships to ensure capacity, service quality and competitive pricing.

Your tasks:

Serving as Procurement Professionals:

• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of sub regional: markets / category trends; suppliers / key local players
• Develop and implement local category strategies leveraging regional and global strategies
• Ensure country requirements and issues are addressed in corporate / regional strategies
• Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at local level
• Prepare, conduct and lead tenders (incl. e-sourcing)
• Effectively implement corporate / regional / local contracts
• Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of local Business Partners
• Supplier management: data base maintenance; supplier classification; new sources identification
• Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools: suppliers, rates, contracts; spend, projects, master data

Dealing with Key Stakeholders / Business Partners:

• Establish close contact with local business units to ensure actual and future knowledge of demand and service quality
• Contribute to the cooperation between region / country and corporate sourcing

Your profile:

• Relevant university degree and/or equivalent experience
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in Procurement.
• Ability to identify and implement ESG initiatives.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at a senior level as well as able to gain buy-in at a regional level
• Able to demonstrate how changing legislation could impact the business both in financial and operational terms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills
• High level of attention to detail, analytical, problem solving and administrative skills
• Experience of working in an international environment and a matrix organization
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft products with ability to extract data from key systems to drive category development, to drive team performance and to create meaningful presentations to the DHL Divisions
• Good x English language skills essential
• Experience negotiating airline contracts including capacity agreements, rate management and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Understanding of IATA regulations, cargo handling standards and air freight operational processes.
• Experience managing transportation categories with annual spend exceeding regional procurement thresholds.
• Develop strategic relationships with global, regional and local suppliers.
