Job Overview

Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer with proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex Azure DevOps pipelines and deployment strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CI/CD, modern deployment methodologies, and cloud-native practices. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth, automated, and reliable delivery of applications and services into production.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for complex, multi-stage applications.
• Implement deployment methods (blue/green, canary, rolling updates, etc.) to support high availability and low downtime.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Optimize CI/CD workflows for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to improve release processes.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment issues, ensuring fast resolution and minimal disruption.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure deployment success and performance visibility.
• Stay updated with Azure DevOps and cloud-native trends, recommending improvements to tools and practices.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles, with a focus on Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, artifacts, boards).
• Proven background with complex CI/CD pipelines involving multiple services/environments.
• Knowledge of deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling, A/B testing).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a geographically dispersed team.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Initiative and drive to do great things.
