BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) in Bogota, Colombia is seeking an experienced Azure Data Platform Engineer to design a scalable, secure data platform and integrate data from SAP and other systems into a unified data lake and reporting layer to support global financial reporting.

You will build ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory, implement ADLS Gen2 architecture, and ensure governance, security, and lineage across regions while optimizing cost and performance.

Formación

• Experience designing Azure data platforms.
• Strong SQL and Power Query skills.
• Experience integrating ERP/finance systems (SAP desirable).
• Experience with data modelling for financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Python or Spark.
• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines.
• Understanding data lake vs warehouse vs Lakehouse patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion pipelines.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Design and implement data lake architecture in ADLS Gen2.
• Structure and manage data using bronze/silver/gold layers (medallion architecture).
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot data platform issues.
• Integrate ADLS with Azure Data Factory, Synapse/Databricks, and Power BI.
• Implement data governance, security, and access controls (RBAC, IAM, ACLs).
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and metadata management.
• Support business teams with data modelling and availability.
• Optimise data storage, partitioning, and cost/performance.
• Define and implement access controls and compliance standards.
• Ensure consistency of financial data across regions.
• Support data lineage and auditability for finance.
