Job summary

LV Petroleum is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for our Truck Services division to assist the Truck Services Manager in daily operations of the Truck Shop. You will supervise technicians, ensure high-quality service, and uphold safety and quality standards across the team.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer focus, and operational efficiency, with responsibilities spanning staff development, workflow optimization, inventory control, and coordinating with customers to resolve issues

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in management preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a truck service or automotive environment, supervisory preferred.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of financial performance metrics, including P&L management.
• Proficient with computer systems and software for service tracking and inventory management.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train staff; promote teamwork, accountability and customer service.
• Monitor workflow and assist in diagnosing, repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Position Overview:

As the Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Truck Services Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our Truck Shop. Your responsibilities will include supervising our talented team of technicians, ensuring exemplary customer service, and maintaining operational standards that align with our company’s goals.
