Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is hiring for a remote mobile test automation engineer. You will automate our regression tests for iOS and Android, expanding coverage and replacing manual tests.

This role emphasizes building robust automated tests and maintaining coverage across platforms from anywhere in Colombia. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in mobile test automation, experience with Kotlin and Firebase Test Lab, and familiarity with UiAutomator and Robolectric.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with mobile test automation.
• Experience with Kotlin is preferred.
• Familiar with Firebase Test Lab and UiAutomator/Robolectric for Android.
• Must be able to work 9am–1pm EST.
• Experience replacing manual regression tests with automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Automate our existing regression testing suite (~150 tests) and expand coverage.
• Build and maintain automated tests for iOS and Android focusing on critical functionalities.
• Prioritize automated testing tasks and exclude new feature development responsibilities.

What you will do

• Automate our existing regression testing suite that currently lives in Test Rails (~150 manual tests). Once that is complete, the next objective will be to expand the automated tests to improve coverage;
• Build and maintain automated tests for current features across iOS and Android platforms, with a focus on ensuring they replace manual regression tests and cover critical functionalities;
• Prioritize automated testing tasks, excluding responsibilities related to new feature development.

Must haves

• 2+ years of experience with mobile test automation, ideally using Kotlin ;
• Working experience in Firebase & Test Lab (ideally);
• Familiar with UiAutomator, Robolectric for Android;
• Mandatory working hours 9 am - 1 pm EST.
