Ideal candidates should be accounting students or graduates with at least 2 years of relevant experience, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and a strong command of Microsoft Office and SAP. Formación

  • Must have completion of at least six semesters in accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting, or a similar field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate cooperation between work area and other areas of the company.
  • Perform accounting tasks per company policies.
  • Maintain activity calendars and compliance financial issues.
  • Verify updates of regulatory entities.
  • Generate customer account statements and bill clients.

Job Details

Under general direction of the Billing Manager LATAM Services Center based in BOG, Colombia, this role is responsible for coordinating the cooperation between the work area and all other areas of the company in a way that maintains a smooth flow of information and positive coordination. It includes performing accounting tasks in accordance with the company's policies and procedures and supporting the company's mission and management objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Keep the Activity Calendar / Update the Closing Check List and carry out the pertinent activities for compliance financial issues
  • Answer questions, review accounting operations to locate and resolve differences that may exist
  • Verify updates of the regulations of the regulatory entities
  • File accounting documentation related to the position
  • Enter local and foreign customer invoices
  • Enter manual customer invoices, such as expense reimbursements
  • Request and review Operations guides for local reports
  • Prepare appropriations in SAP
  • Verify BASC certification and create/update new clients according to corporate policies
  • Make balance reconciliations
  • Generate, monitor and analyze customer account statements
  • Bill clients in the assigned countries (Transport and Depot)
  • Make other necessary records in SAP and complete additional processes in the assigned countries
  • Contact the assigned countries to address various issues
  • Propose improvements to processes to optimize time and standardize activities
  • Answer phones, respond to queries and take messages when necessary
  • Implement effective and efficient procedures within scope
  • Reflect improvement suggestions and transmit them to the appropriate management level
Education:
  • Accounting student with completion of at least six semesters or Technician / Technologist in accounting and finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting or similar
Work experience:
  • 2 years in a similar role
