Job summary

Outlier is seeking a QA Coder to help make AI models smarter by reviewing AI-generated code and rating responses for accuracy and quality. This is a 1099 contract opportunity with flexible hours and remote work across eligible countries.

As part of the project, you will write clear prompts, contribute to structured guidelines, and help shape future AI code-generation tasks. Prior software engineering experience and strong English are required.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code: flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions to improve outputs.
• Write computer science questions: develop clear prompts to challenge AI models.
