Job description

Why Keyrus, Why Now!

Keyrus is an international group of 3,000 experts across 30 countries, built on a single conviction: AI does not transform businesses. Architected intelligence does.

For more than 30 years, we have helped organizations build the data foundations that power intelligent systems. Today, we go further by designing and operationalizing intelligence that delivers measurable business value.

As AI becomes more integrated into business operations, organizations need clear accountability, responsible decision-making, effective risk management, and reliable human oversight.

At Keyrus, you'll help organizations turn Responsible AI principles and regulatory requirements into practical governance systems that support innovation while maintaining transparency, security, and human control.

Technology amplifies. Keyrus culture differentiates. Industrial discipline connects the two.

What you'll architect

As an AI Governance Lead, you will design and implement governance frameworks that help organizations develop, deploy, and operate AI systems responsibly.

You'll translate business requirements, regulatory expectations, and Responsible AI principles into practical processes, controls, risk assessments, and accountability structures.

Your focus will be on ensuring that AI governance works in real environments, not only in documentation. You'll collaborate with clients, engineering teams, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Security specialists to establish effective governance throughout the AI lifecycle.

Your responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI Governance and Responsible AI frameworks, defining responsibilities, decision-making processes, accountability, and escalation procedures.
  • Establish AI risk assessment and classification processes to evaluate AI applications based on their business context, impact, and potential risks.
  • Translate applicable regulations, Responsible AI principles, and organizational policies into practical governance controls and documentation requirements.
  • Define governance checkpoints throughout the AI lifecycle, including testing, approvals, deployment readiness, monitoring, and periodic reviews.
  • Establish human oversight mechanisms that clarify when AI decisions require human validation, intervention, or escalation.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineering teams, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Security specialists to implement governance requirements and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Develop reusable governance documentation, assessment methods, control frameworks, and best practices while advising clients on AI governance maturity and improvement opportunities.
Who you are

You are an experienced governance professional who understands how to balance AI innovation with responsible risk management and regulatory requirements.

You know how to transform policies and principles into practical governance processes that organizations can implement and maintain.

You understand modern AI technologies well enough to identify potential risks, collaborate with technical teams, and guide responsible decision-making without needing to be an AI Engineer.

You combine analytical thinking, strong communication, and stakeholder management skills with a practical approach to solving governance challenges.

What you bring
Experience
  • Strong experience designing or implementing AI Governance, Responsible AI, model risk, technology risk, or comparable governance frameworks.
  • Experience translating governance policies into practical processes, risk assessments, controls, and approval workflows.
  • Understanding of AI lifecycle risks, including development, deployment, monitoring, accountability, and human oversight.
  • Experience working with regulatory, privacy, compliance, or technology-risk requirements relevant to the business environment.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including Legal, Risk, Compliance, Security, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills, including the ability to advise clients, explain governance requirements, and support governance maturity assessments.
Technical skills
  • Knowledge of AI Governance and Responsible AI principles, including transparency, accountability, fairness, privacy, and human oversight.
  • Familiarity with recognized AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 23894, or comparable standards.
  • Understanding of AI risk assessments, governance controls, audit evidence, compliance processes, and risk classification.
  • Working knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and automated decision-making systems.
  • Understanding of AI lifecycle management, governance documentation, monitoring, and approval processes.
  • Familiarity with data protection, technology risk, security, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Nice to have
  • Experience governing agentic AI systems, autonomous workflows, or complex AI decision-making processes.
  • Experience with AI assurance, model validation, Responsible AI testing, or red teaming.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms or AI governance management tools.
  • Experience with AI data governance, including data provenance, quality, usage rights, and retrieval sources.
  • Experience working in regulated industries or across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Consulting or professional services experience, including governance assessments, client workshops, and development of reusable methodologies.
What makes you successful
  • You create governance processes that work in practice rather than remaining only as policies or documentation.
  • You apply risk-based controls that balance responsible AI practices with business needs.
  • You establish clear accountability, human oversight, and decision-making responsibilities.
  • You communicate effectively with clients and technical teams, turning complex governance requirements into practical actions.
