Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems over models, not model training, and involves hands-on integration and deployment.

You will build agentic workflows, connect to OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, and streamline our design and development processes with automation pipelines across WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our CMS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agent-based workflows using LangChain or equivalent frameworks.

• Develop internal tools to reduce manual work in design and development processes.
