Job description

We are seeking a mid-level Java backend engineer to build and support service logic, data processing, integrations, and platform-reliability capabilities for business-critical workflows. This contract role combines hands-on development with production troubleshooting, monitoring, incident support, and cross-functional collaboration. Enterprise experience strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve backend Java services and platform components.
• Develop service logic and data-processing capabilities supporting business-critical workflows.
• Contribute to integration-layer services and middleware capabilities.
• Partner with technical and operational stakeholders to resolve integration issues.
• Diagnose and resolve API and integration failures affecting downstream Salesforce Service Cloud processes.
• Participate in a developer production-support rotation and operational review process.
• Triage critical alerts and monitor health indicators for Java services and platform components.
• Handle urgent operational work, track open incidents, and document findings.
• Keep sprint data and work status current through tickets, standups, and team communication channels.
• Follow established engineering and DevOps processes and complete assigned work reliably and on schedule.
