Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking qualified Cost Management professionals for its Chile talent pool. The role spans estimating, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, procurement, and value engineering across project lifecycles.

The candidate will interact with clients and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication in English and Spanish, leadership capabilities, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years professional experience related to Engineering Cost Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or any degree relevant to the position.
• RICS, AACE Certifications/Memberships
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver deadlines
• Good communication skills to explain concepts and methodology
• Strong client management, change management and teamwork skills
• Strong Microsoft skills, specifically Excel & PowerPoint, CostX, Knowledge of AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management activities across the full project lifecycle, including estimating, cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Manage procurement and contracting processes, including RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and subcontractor management.
• Conduct feasibility studies, quantity take-offs, value engineering, life-cycle costing, and cost analysis to optimize project value.
• Monitor project costs, change orders, payment applications, invoicing, and final accounts to ensure financial control and budget compliance.
• Prepare and present cost reports, risk assessments, forecasts, and recommendations to clients and senior leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Review contractor performance, monthly reports, and identify cost risks, proposing corrective actions when required.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of cost management procedures, systems, and best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and support junior team members, including participation in recruitment, performance reviews, and resource planning.
• Travel to project sites as needed and ensure all responsibilities are performed in accordance with professional and company standards.
