The United Nations in Santiago, Chile seeks a Sustainable Development Officer (P-4) to monitor and analyze programme development and coordinate action plans with partners. The role includes facilitating workshops, consulting with client states, and presenting findings to inform policy.

The incumbent will conduct research on development issues and ensure follow-up actions, contributing to sustainable change in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER at UN. Grade: P-4. Location: Santiago, Chile. Application deadline: 31 October 2026.

• Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation; reviews relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and sustainable development issues to be addressed and initiates corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; and ensures follow-up actions.
• Performs consulting assignments, in collaboration with clients, (e.g. Member States), by planning and facilitating workshops on sustainable development issues, conducting other interactive sessions and assisting in developing action plans for clients will use to manage change.
• Researches and analyzes sustainable development issues and presents information gathered from diverse sources.
