Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Manager to own search for a portfolio of roofing clients. You will guide technical SEO decisions, keyword strategy, and content priorities, coordinating with writers and AI to deliver results across markets.

You will work with US clients on live calls, optimize for Google AI features and traditional results, and report progress via GA4 and Search Console. This is a remote, full-time role serving international markets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: audits and fixes performed personally.
• Experience with multiple clients in an agency setting is required.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO for a book of roofing clients, including crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Lead keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities with writers and AI.
• Increase visibility in AI search and traditional organic results.
• Manage local search and multi-location SEO as needed.
• Provide quarterly roadmaps and reporting in GA4 and Search Console.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Manager, Roofing you own search for a book of roofing clients (roofing contractors operating across several markets): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for roofing or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.
