Sovos is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead performance, security, and availability of enterprise database environments powering our SaaS applications. You will collaborate with software engineers and tech leads to ensure scalable, reliable data services across SQL Server and other major databases.

The role requires 7+ years of DBA experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with AI tools for productivity.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Availability to attend the office once a week (Condesa, CDMX).

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a subject matter expert for database technologies, resolving complex incidents and performance issues across multiple environments.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and throughput.
• Review query designs and schema changes with engineering teams to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Lead patches, upgrades, migrations with minimal downtime and design backup/recovery strategies.
• Mentor and support junior DBAs and application teams in best practices.
• Collect and analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Communicate health, maintenance status, and risks to stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to streamline monitoring and automation.
